Adolescents & Young People
Young people seem to have a really rough deal when it comes to finding help for their mental wellbeing. Less than 25% of children under 16 are offered primary care mental health interventions, though the Government promised (9-10-2018) to increase that to a third. We all know that early intervention can prevent long term mental health issues.
Beverly works with the (ACT) DNA-V model that is proven to develop thriving adolescents. She has applied this in a university setting in groups and in 1:1 therapy. At Chichester University where Beverly was Head of Student Counselling this was especially effective in the “care leaver” group.
Here at ACTWorks we can offer rapid access to qualified professionals offering evidence-based therapy; without the need for a GP referral.
